Malé Atoll has the largest concentration of
resorts and the most accessible, best-known, and most
popular breaks in the Maldives whereas. In South Malé
Atoll breaks are usually two feet smaller, but can
be outstanding if there is a big swell. There are
fewer resorts in the south. For resort based surfing
it is advisable to choose one of the resorts on the
eastern side of North Male’ Atoll where you
could get access to a number of excellent breaks.
